Road Safety
Teaching children road safety from a really young age and practising it with them will help them to be safe, independent and confident on their travels.
- Hold My Hand: first lessons in road safety.
- Car Seats and Seatbelt Safety: ensure you have the right seat fitted for your child.
- Be Bright Be Seen: be bright especially at night so drivers can see you more easily.
It is important to get the balance right when teaching about dangers and risk. Children need to understand dangers and how they can avoid them but they also mustn’t be made too fearful to go out. After all, staying inactive carries a greater risk in the long term.
